Recently the Vanderbilt Mansion has generated headlines after undergoing a massive $60 million restoration effort.  The residence, which also functions as a boutique hotel comprising 45 rooms offers a rich glimpse of history and also includes a beach club plus a marina.

The marina is also among the many “actively minded” activities available on Fisher Island.  Visitors can also participate in tennis as well as play golf at the nine-hole professional course.  Both the tennis court and golf course have been used for major sporting events in the past.

Last but not certainly least, the Trattoria market and the shopping center located near the western edge of the island offer plenty of unique goods and foods to purchase.  Consider it a temporary stop before heading off to the Spa Internazionale or the salon.
