One of the features of Fisher Island that tends to get frequent attention is its distinction as perhaps the only residential community in South Florida that cannot be reached through traditional means.  This also requires that the island has most of the features that any normal city would since, after all, a ferry is not the ideal method of transportation if for example there’s a fire.  Thus Fisher Island contains a school plus a post office and yes, even a fire department.  But what do residents do to relax besides sunbathing on the Fisher Island beachfront?

Among the many activities available, the Spa Internazionale is a particular favorite.  As the name suggests, it functions as a spa with a complete suite of services and treatments and also includes a complete range of fitness equipment and a beauty salon.  As a result you can hit the treadmill for an hour or so, get a facial or massage afterwards and then get a new hairstyle or manicure, not necessarily in that order.
