Dues Billing Update By now, most of you should have received your July monthly statements which includes the dues billing for October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009. We have received inquiries as to why the dues were billed on the July statements. It has always been the policy of the Club to send the dues billing 60 days before the start of the new dues year. In the past, the billing was sent 60 days prior to your membership anniversary date. Last year, every member was converted to the same dues year of October to September. As part of the conversion process, the dues statements were delayed and were not mailed until September. With the process streamlined this year, we were able to go back to the long standing policy of billing dues 60 days in advance. The purpose of the advance billing is to give you time to pay your dues before your membership card expires on September 30th. The best analogy is your car registration. Your license plate expires on your birthday but the government bills you 60 days in advance of your birthday so you have time to pay the fee before your license tag expires. You have until September 30th to pay your dues. As long as your dues are paid by September 30th, your account will be in good standing. I hope this clarifies the dues billing process.
